Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rod Jackson (ranked 3855 p4p, 332 weight class) and Mike Tycoon (ranked 17862 p4p, 588 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rod Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Tycoon!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tycoon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.
Despite the aggression on Tycoon's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Jackson blocks a head kick by Tycoon.
It looked like Jackson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Tycoon sprawls well.
Tycoon stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Rod Jackson has been cut.
Tycoon scores with a shot to the body.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tycoon loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch.
Jackson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Jackson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tycoon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tycoon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tycoon swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.
Tycoon misses with a wild body shot.
Tycoon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Tycoon circles away.
Jackson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Tycoon has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jackson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson throws a hook to the side of Tycoon's head but Tycoon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tycoon swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Jackson throws a series of strikes that have Tycoon backpedaling.

Tycoon lands a jab to the head.
Jackson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
No joy there for Tycoon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jackson clinches.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tycoon on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Tycoon connects with an inside leg kick.
Tycoon scores with a head kick.
Jackson tries to clinch but Tycoon moves out of range.
Tycoon throws a fast counter high kick but Jackson manages to duck under it in time.
Jackson has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rod Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jackson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tycoon throws out a counter right but Jackson avoids it with no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tycoon thuds his right hand into Jackson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Tycoon looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tycoon, right into the meat.
We've been told by Jackson's head coaches at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Rod Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tycoon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jackson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jackson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tycoon is controlling him.

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tycoon is aware though and is defending well.
Tycoon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Tycoon prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Tycoon connects with a couple of short punches.

Tycoon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jackson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tycoon has managed to get both his arms back between Jackson's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jackson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tycoon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Tycoon drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Tycoon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The cut man is working on Rod Jackson's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Tycoon tries to land a knee to the head but Jackson blocks with his arms.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tycoon just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jackson's brow.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tycoon just stands there and leans against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson is trying to maintain a safe position but Tycoon gets an underhook and turns Jackson into the cage.

Tycoon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Tycoon. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Tycoon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tycoon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Tycoon.

Tycoon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.
Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jackson lands a head kick that stumbles Tycoon and the fighters go to the mat.
Jackson wants to stand and escape but instead Tycoon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tycoon defends it easily.

Tycoon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jackson wants to stand up but Tycoon is controlling him.
Tycoon is in close to Jackson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mike Tycoon has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jackson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tycoon should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jackson has tightened it up now! Tycoon should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Rod Jackson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
