Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dumba Diame Jr (ranked 962 p4p, 106 weight class) and William Spud (ranked 1283 p4p, 136 weight class). Diame Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Get It On The Floor. William Spud has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Spud!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spud with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Diame Jr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spud.

Diame Jr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Spud to the ground. Diame Jr is now in Spud's guard.

Diame Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Diame Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Spud, looking for a takedown. Diame Jr pushes Spud against the cage but Spud circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Diame Jr throws a lazy right hand but Spud sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Diame Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spud replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Diame Jr blocks it well.

Diame Jr walks forward, straight into a front kick from Spud.
Diame Jr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Spud, as that shot connected.

Diame Jr darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Spud wants to stand back up but Diame Jr manages to pass into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dumba Diame Jr dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Diame Jr throws a head kick but Spud moves out of range.

Spud tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diame Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Diame Jr is looking to take a break and control but Spud is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dumba Diame Jr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
