Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Takano (ranked 1040 p4p, 140 weight class) and Scott John (ranked 1251 p4p, 168 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yoshi Takano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scott John! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Takano counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Takano tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Takano fails to land with a series of punches.
John looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. John misses with a head kick.
John connects with an inside leg kick. John throws a lazy uppercut
and John takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Takano.
Takano with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling John to score with a decent uppercut. John scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jab from John. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! John misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takano.
Takano is looking to counter punch. John lands a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. John digs a good body shot into Takano's ribs. Takano throws a leg kick and John counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. John throws a jab but it's blocked by Takano. John jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
John lands a big uppercut and Takano crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Takano looks OK. John waves Takano back to his feet!
Takano is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! John takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. John throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Takano to counter with a crisp jab. John pounces like a tiger and cracks Takano with a vicious hook! Takano is down but not out! John follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Scott John! A victorious Scott John thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
