Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Long Hung Dong (ranked 3239 p4p, 369 weight class) and Anthony Cable (ranked 4578 p4p, 465 weight class). Long Hung Dong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Anthony Cable's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Long Hung Dong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Cable! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cable cracks a nice hook into Dong's ribs. Cable misses the jab. Dong bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Cable ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dong moves away. Dong defending well as Cable loads up on a big left hand. Cable lands with an uppercut that bounces Dong off the cage and back into range. Dong throws a head kick but Cable moves out of range.
Dong takes one to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dong scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cable doesn't seem bothered though. Dong takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Dong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cable. Cable goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cable thows a left - swing and a miss! Dong thinks about countering with a head kick. Nice body punch from Cable. Cable misses with a hook to the body
and Cable takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cable.
Dong has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cable. Cable swings for the body but Dong moves out of range.
Cable takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Cable looks to land a left hand but Dong moved out of range nicely. And Dong counters with a quick kick to the body but Cable blocks it. Cable throws a right hand that misses
and Dong counters with a low kick, right behind Cable 's knee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cable misses with a body punch
and Dong counters with an inside leg kick. Dong throws a low kick but Cable avoids it. Cable looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A jab from Cable misses. Dong defending well as Cable loads up on a big left hand. Cable takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dong uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cable. Dong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dong fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cable checks it well. Cable looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cable looks to land a right hand but Dong moved out of range. It looked like Dong was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cable. Cable lands the left hand. Anthony Cable seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dong swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cable cracks Dong with an open hand slap. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cable. Dong shrugs it off though. Some wild striking there from Cable.

Dong misses with a body kick. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cable! But no joy. Dong moves out of range of the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong closes the distance and clinches. Cable wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Cable stuns Dong with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Cable throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cable scores with a hook to the body. Dong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cable takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dong swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cable unleashes a big counter combination but Dong bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Dong connects with an inside leg kick. Dong motions for Cable to come forward. Dong throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Cable dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dong tries to move into range but Cable moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Dong darts in and clinches Cable up against the cage. Dong jumps into guard, dragging Cable to the mat.
Cable preventing the sweep. Cable engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cable passes Dong's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Dong looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cable in particular looking to stall. Dong with the active half guard here but Cable passes nicely into side control. Cable is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dong will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong manages to get back to half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cable in particular looking to stall. Dong is looking for a sweep. Cable is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dong trying to control from the bottom.
Cable seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. No joy there for Cable, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Dong has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Dong moves out of range as Cable strikes. Cable throws a nice looking combination but Dong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cable fails to land with a series of punches.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cable swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dong counters with a nice body kick.
Dong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cable circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Long Hung Dong will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Cable is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Dong will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cable up against the cage. Cable is trying to force a seperation but Dong has the dominant position. Stalling in the clinch from Dong.
Cable seems to have recovered his senses. Cable breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

An attempted straight right counter from Dong misses the target. Dong displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cable throws out the jab. Cable throws a lazy right hand but Dong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Anthony Cable seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cable misses with an uppercut. and Dong counters by moving into the clinch. Cable breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dong throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cable goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Cable throws a poor cross that misses
and Dong makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Dong lands a nice looking kick to the body. Cable takes a step back to recover. Cable loads up on a big right hand but Dong slips the punch. Dong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Cable misses with a lunging right hand
and Dong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cable prevents a body shot from Dong. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dong.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong has Cable pressed against the cage, preventing Cable from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dong is working Cable over against the cage. Dong is stalling here.
Dong makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Dong goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Cable takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A short right from Dong on the inside. A frustrated look appears on Cable's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dong avoiding damage as Cable throws knees to the body.
Dong pulls guard successfully.
Dong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cable can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dong throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cable is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dong. Dong manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Dong manages to get to full guard.
Cable must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dong working for a triangle but Cable defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Long Hung Dong showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dong has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
