Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dick Caunt (ranked 825 p4p, 39 weight class) and Klaus Chugman (ranked 655 p4p, 28 weight class). Dick Caunt has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dick Caunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chugman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Chugman moves into range and clinches up with Caunt.
Chugman can't break the clinch.
Caunt misses with a punch on the inside.
Chugman jumps guard but Caunt turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Chugman is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Caunt to keep the fight standing.
Caunt lands a body punch.
Chugman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Caunt tries to throw a body punch but Chugman avoids it by throwing Caunt back against the cage.
Chugman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Caunt walks away with a smile on his face. Chugman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Chugman misses with a shot to the body
and Caunt counters with a thumping low kick.

Chugman darts in and clinches Caunt up against the cage.
Caunt is pushing Chugman up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Chugman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Caunt tries to work over Chugman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Caunt lands an uppercut.

Chugman manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Caunt wants to control from the top but Chugman keeps moving.

Chugman looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Caunt passes into half guard.

Caunt sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Chugman felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Chugman is looking to control Caunt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chugman avoid being mounted?

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Chugman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Caunt tries to avoid it but Chugman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Caunt to the ground. Caunt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chugman shoots for a takedown but Caunt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Chugman is pushing down on Caunt's leg trying to pass to half guard. Caunt is fighting to maintain full guard but Chugman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Caunt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Caunt is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Tosen's Home for Lost Boys, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Chugman is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Chugman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Caunt is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chugman, into his guard.

Chugman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Caunt is one step ahead there.

Chugman isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Caunt stacks Chugman on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Caunt!

Klaus Chugman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Chugman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Caunt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chugman somewhat.

Chugman is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Caunt rather than just go for the knockout.

Chugman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Caunt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Chugman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Caunt manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chugman has Caunt in his guard.

Chugman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Caunt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Chugman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Chugman is looking to take a break and control but Caunt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chugman is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Caunt has managed to free his arm - good work.
Chugman is stalling here. Caunt is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Chugman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Caunt has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dick Caunt.
I think Caunt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Dick Caunt spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
