Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keijo Maki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kermit Archer!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maki swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Both fighters circling a little - Maki finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Maki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Archer throws a body shot but no joy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maki feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Archer sprawling to the canvas! Archer rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Maki finish him?!


It looks like Kermit Archer has been cut.
Maki throws an uppercut from hell that sends Archer clean off his feet! He's out cold! Maki stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Keijo Maki!
