Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Stone (ranked 124 p4p, 18 weight class) and Kagekatsu Uesugi (ranked 377 p4p, 51 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kagekatsu Uesugi! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uesugi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stone counters with a right hand to the body. Uesugi connects with a body shot. Uesugi throws a jab when Stone was well out of range. Uesugi lands a jab to Stone's midsection. Uesugi misses the body punch and Stone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Uesugi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stone.
Uesugi throws a big shot that misses. Stone is looking to counter with a body kick. Uesugi's corner calls for a 1-2. Uesugi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Stone ducks under a wild hook from Uesugi. It looked like Stone was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Uesugi. Stone has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight. A shot to the body from Uesugi misses and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Uesugi looks to land a left hand but Stone moved out of range nicely. Stone appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Uesugi connects with a single shot there. Uesugi misses the shot to the body. As Uesugi backs away, Stone returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Uesugi jabs Stone right on the nose. Stone blinks but takes it well. Kagekatsu Uesugi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice straight punches there by Uesugi. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Uesugi. Uesugi swings for the body but Stone moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A shot to the body from Uesugi misses enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab. Uesugi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stone momentarily.
Uesugi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stone. Uesugi connects with a looping right hand.
Uesugi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stone manages to avoid it. And Stone counters with a quick kick to the body but Uesugi blocks it. Uesugi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Stone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Uesugi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Stone had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Stone steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Uesugi. Uesugi misses with a wild body shot. Uesugi scores with a body shot.
Uesugi misses with a looping left. It looked like Stone was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Nice uppercut there from Uesugi. Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Uesugi.

and Stone counters with a low kick, right behind Uesugi 's knee. Uesugi misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Good exchange - Uesugi coming out on top. Stone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Uesugi. Stone throwing a counter right hand but Uesugi manages to avoid it. Uesugi jabs Stone to the body, keeping him at a distance. Stone avoids the body shot from Uesugi.

Stone's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Uesugi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stone scrambles back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kagekatsu Uesugi dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Uesugi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Stones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Uesugi ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stone takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Stone might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Stone slips under a jab from Uesugi.

and Stone counters with a left and a right that stings Uesugi. Uesugi misses the shot to the body. Stone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Uesugi has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stone needs to keep his hands up - Uesugi had a free shot at his head there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kagekatsu Uesugi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

and Stone counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Uesugi badly! Stone follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Uesugi out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Stone finished him against the cage.
