Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Muhammad Jabbar (ranked 22473 p4p, 514 weight class) and Barry Allen (ranked 22434 p4p, 523 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Allen's choice of entrance music: The Flash Theme. Barry Allen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Muhammad Jabbar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Muhammad Jabbar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Allen!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Allen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jabbar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Allen with a hook.
Jabbar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Allen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Allen throws a chopping leg kick but Jabbar manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Allen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jabbar misses with an uppercut.
Jabbar looks to throw the jab but Allen is out of range.
Jabbar keeps the fight on the outside.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch but Jabbar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Allen on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Jabbar lands a front kick.
Allen misses with an uppercut. Jabbar saw that one coming.
Allen tries to clinch up but Jabbar circles away and keeps his distance.
It appears Jabbar was looking to counter with a kick there.
Allen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jabbar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jabbar tried to counter with a leg kick but Allen avoided it.
Jabbar is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Allen.
Allen counters with a body kick.
Jabbar works Allen's body with a nice hook.
Jabbar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Jabbar comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Jabbar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Allen, pushing him back against the ropes.
A head punch on the inside from Allen fails to land.

Jabbar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Allen uses from the top position.
Jabbar has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Allen drops back looking for a leg! Jabbar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jabbar manages to kick Allen off! Allen jumps back into Jabbar's guard.

Allen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jabbar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jabbar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jabbar!

Jabbar is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Allen's shoulder. That is not cool.

Jabbar seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jabbar works his foot free and advances to mount.
Allen is in all sorts of trouble here.
Allen tries to lock up and control but Jabbar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Allen catches Jabbar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jabbar throws a solid leg kick but Allen takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jabbar.
Jabbar bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Allen's head.

It seemed like Allen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Allen tried to score with a low kick but Jabbar checks it.

Jabbar moves into the clinch.
Jabbar blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Jabbar pulls guard successfully.

Allen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jabbar dives on top into guard.

Allen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Allen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jabbar has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jabbar is pushing down on Allen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Allen is fighting to maintain full guard but Jabbar has managed to sneak the leg through.
