Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Monteiro (ranked 1957 p4p, 221 weight class) and Dock Ellis (ranked 1095 p4p, 138 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Monteiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dock Ellis! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Ellis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Tony Monteiro has been cut. Ellis feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Monteiros jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Monteiro pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ellis gets off balance looking for a body kick and Monteiro counters with a good low kick that Ellis was not able to check. Monteiro throws a jab when Ellis was well out of range. Ellis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monteiro throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Ellis tumbling to the canvas! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ellis pulls Monteiro in close to his closed guard and prevents Monteiro from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Monteiro stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis misses the jab. An attempted straight right counter from Monteiro misses the target. A telegraphed right hand from Monteiro misses the target. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ellis! But no joy. Ellis misses with a hook. Ellis misses with a hook. A little feinted left hand from Monteiro on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Monteiro throws a poor cross that misses
and Ellis counters with a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Ellis limp body while Monteiro jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony Monteiro! Our winner, Tony Monteiro, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
