Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taran Chula (ranked 299 p4p, 37 weight class) and Edward Kenway (ranked 550 p4p, 70 weight class). Edward Kenway told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chula swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kenway scores with a sloppy right hand. Chula should have avoided that one.
Kenway ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kenway looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Kenway throws out a loose jab but Chula uses good head movement to avoid it.
A quick step to the side and Chula tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Chula swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

It seemed like Kenway was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Chula throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kenway stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Kenway counters with a crisp one two that drops Chula! Kenway thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Chula to his feet! Chula is in big trouble!

and Kenway counters with a crisp right hand that drops Chula! Kenway lets Chula back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Kenway might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A relieved looking Edward Kenway thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
