Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Fring (ranked 601 p4p, 72 weight class) and William Spud (ranked 967 p4p, 119 weight class). Fring's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bamboleo by The Gypsy Kings. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gustavo Fring! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Spud! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spud takes a swing at Fring's ribcage but misses. Spud throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fring looks to score with a jab to the body but Spud is just out of range. Fring cracks Spud with an open hand slap.
It looks like William Spud has been cut. A big right from Spud misses. Spud tries to land a front kick but Fring steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Spud fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Fring is out of range. Spud throws a poor cross that misses
and Fring counters with a lovely shot to the body. Fring throws a body shot but no joy. Spud looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Spud throws a leg kick but Fring sees it coming and checks it nicely. Fring is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Spud connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fring momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fring takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spud tries to clinch but Fring is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spud throws a nice inside leg kick. Spud finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Spud wants to clinch up but Fring keeps it at a distance. Fring was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Fring on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Spud. Spud obviously looking to wear him down.
Spud takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A big right from Spud misses. Fring misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Spud.
Spud thumps Fring with a low kick. Fring uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spud. It looked like Fring was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Spud. Fring is looking to wear down Spud with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Fring throws out a loose jab but Spud uses good head movement to avoid it. Spud throws a leg kick that misses. Spud steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fring. Fring takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Spud takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fring is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Spud throws a body shot but no joy. It looked like Fring wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spud lands a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spud instigates a clinch. Fring goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Spud tries to throw a body punch but Fring avoids it by throwing Spud back against the cage. Spud misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Spud lands with a short head shot on the inside. Spud lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fring backwards. Fring wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fring's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fring thows a left - swing and a miss! Spud tries to counter by closing the distance. Spud lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Spud has managed to clinch.
Fring escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fring shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Fring fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Spud looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Fring takes a swing at Spud's ribcage but misses. Spud dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fring. That did some damage! Spud is looking to score with low kicks. Fring appears to be looking for a big counter. Spud fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fring checks a leg kick. Spud buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fring on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Fring looks to land a left hand but Spud moved out of range nicely. Spud cracks a nice hook into Fring's ribs. Spud moves into the clinch. Fring misses with a body punch.
Spud softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fring doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fring escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Spud throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fring counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Spud closes the distance and pushes Fring back into the cage. Spud misses with a body punch.
Fring blocking some punches.
Fring works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A head punch on the inside from Spud fails to land. Spud scores with a hook to the body. Fring pushes Spud back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Spud doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Fring breaks the clinch.
Fring bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Spud misses with a hook
and Fring cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A jab from Spud does it's job there. William Spud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spud closes the distance but Fring moves to the side and Fring counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Spud dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fring wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spud has him pressed against the cage.

Fring digs a right hand into Spud's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Spud's gas tank. Spud keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fring's efforts to push away. Fring lands a hook that snaps the head of Spud backwards. Spud lands a hook to the side of the head. Fring is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Spud swings wildly with an uppercut but Fring uses good head movement to avoid it. Spud tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fring's elbow. Spud has a couple of punches blocked by Fring.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fring sizes up Spud with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spud works the jab nicely. Fring rushes Spud and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Spud is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Fring piles on the pressure and Spud crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
