Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sendou Kitano (ranked 767 p4p, 111 weight class) and Frank Stein (ranked 679 p4p, 99 weight class). Kitano kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hokuto No Ken - You wa Shock. Stein has chosen Red - Falling Sky as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Frank Stein enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Sendou Kitano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Frank Stein! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kitano throws a lazy head kick and Stein counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Sendou Kitano has been cut. Frank Stein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stein swings widly with a right hand
and Kitano counters with an outside leg kick.
Stein throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Stein lunges at Kitano with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kitano's hand. Kitano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kitano throws a hook to the side of Stein's head but Stein sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kitano misses with a leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stein misses with a low kick. Kitano is looking to counter punch. Stein throws a right hand that misses
and Kitano counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Frank Stein has been cut. Stein darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

and Stein counters with an outside leg kick.
Kitano moves out of range of the strikes. A slapping leg kick lands for Stein.

Stein working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Kitano lands with a short shot to the head. Kitano misses with a short punch on the inside. Stein struggles to land a body shot inside as Kitano controls his hands.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kitano obliges. Kitano throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stein blocks it with crossed arms. Kitano with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

A close round but Frank Stein will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kitano defending well as Stein loads up on a big left hand. Stein takes a shot right to the bread basket. Stein loads up on a big right hand but Kitano slips the punch. Kitano looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kitano walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kitano connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stein. Stein circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kitano uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stein has time to react.
That has opened up Frank Stein's cut even more. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stein connects with a leg kick. Kitano looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. An inside leg kick lands from Stein. A head kick by Stein misses and Kitano counters with an outside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Stein. That's going to slow Kitano down. Stein rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stein walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kitano checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. As Stein backs away, Kitano returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Stein uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kitano.

Stein feints and then cracks Kitano's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kitano down. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stein. No joy there for Kitano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stein looks like he wants to counter punch here. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Stein in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Stein misses with a leg kick and Kitano holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kitano tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jeez, Sendou Kitano's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kitano gets through Stein's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Stein is still on wobbly legs! Can Kitano finish him? Kitano tries a knee to the head but Stein blocks it.
