Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Judas Priest (ranked 1733 p4p, 223 weight class) and Mat Diaz (ranked 634 p4p, 93 weight class). Diaz has chosen I Got Five On It as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Judas Priest! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mat Diaz! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz thuds a left hand into Priest's body. Diaz scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Judas Priest has been cut. Priest fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Diaz tries a head kick but it misses.
Priest drops down looking for a counter takedown but Diaz sprawls and moves away. Mat Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz gets tackled into the cage by Priest. Priest maintains the clinch. Diaz breaks from the clinch.
Priest throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A swing and a miss from Diaz. Priest takes a kick to the side of the head. Diaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diaz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Priest avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Priest manages to break the clinch.
Diaz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Diaz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Priest.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Priest shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Diaz napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is trying to get back to half guard. Diaz keeps trying to improve his position. Priest is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Diaz is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've been hearing good reports from Priest's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Priest thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Priest is keen to just control but Diaz is a slippery customer. Diaz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Priest lands a couple of elbows. Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Priest's guard.
Priest escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Priest is looking for a triangle but Diaz pushes his legs off easily.
Priest is trying to control the position but Diaz postures up. Diaz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz throws an elbow that misses. Priest uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diaz's guard. Nice move by Priest!
Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Diaz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Priest is one step ahead there. Priest looking to pass the guard. Diaz wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Diaz keeping moving, preventing Priest from controlling successfully. Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Priest defends well. Diaz wants to sweep but no luck. Priest throwing strikes but missing. Priest throwing strikes from guard but Diaz blocks nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diaz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Priest is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mat Diaz will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Judas Priest's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Priest tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Diaz moves into range and connects with a jab. Priest ducks under a wild hook from Diaz. Priest misses with a double jab.
Diaz slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Priest manages to avoid it. Priest displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Diaz throws out the jab. Priest tries to clinch there but Diaz circles away.
Diaz throws a jab but it's blocked by Priest. Diaz lands a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A punch combination from Diaz misses. Priest throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely. Priest slips a jab from Diaz. Priest fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Priest fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it. The fighters circling - Diaz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Diaz walks into a straight right hand from Priest. Diaz might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Priest with a jab. Nice defenses there by Priest. Priest scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Priest slips under a jab from Diaz. A looping hook to the body misses from Priest. Diaz does a little dance to reset his feet. Diaz appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Priest bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Priest avoids the body shot from Diaz.
Priest looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range. Diaz with a body punch. A glancing blow. Priest fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it. Diaz tests Priest's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Priest takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Diaz lands a high kick!
Priest is rocked! Diaz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Priest. Oh Priest is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Priest closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diaz's guard. Priest trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Priest got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Priest has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted. Diaz wants to sweep but no luck. Priest seems to have got his legs back now. Priest stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Diaz throws up his legs and catches Priest in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Priest tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Diaz! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mat Diaz! Mat Diaz decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
