The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brah throws a head kick that misses.

And Menezes tries to counter it with a takedown but Brah pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Menezes digs a good body shot into Brah's ribs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Menezes drops back looking for a leg! Brah is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brah manages to kick Menezes off! Menezes jumps back into Brah's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Brah can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Menezes controls the pace.

Menezes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brah looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brah looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brah!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Menezes struggling a bit here.
Brah stands up.
Menezes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brah was well out of range. Poor timing from Menezes.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Menezes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Brah's head.

Horrible takedown attempt by Menezes or perhaps it was just good defense by Brah, which made it look bad.

Well Menezes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
