Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Philip Ziskie (ranked 2045 p4p, 193 weight class) and Marcus Aurelius (ranked 1926 p4p, 184 weight class). Philip Ziskie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marcus Aurelius's chin.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziskie lands a really nice looking cross but Aurelius seems unphased.
Ziskie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Ziskie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ziskie wants it to stay on the feet.

Aurelius takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ziskie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Aurelius throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ziskie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Aurelius is in Ziskie's guard.
Aurelius postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ziskie is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Aurelius, into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been hearing good reports from Ziskie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Ziskie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aurelius does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ziskie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aurelius defends it well.

Ziskie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Aurelius shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Aurelius was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Aurelius tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Ziskie is looking to regain half guard here but Aurelius keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Ziskie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Ziskie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Aurelius drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ziskie dives on top into guard.
