Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rico Cole (ranked 1234 p4p, 157 weight class) and Nik Snow (ranked 2030 p4p, 242 weight class). Cole comes to the cage accompanied by Gerardo's Rico Suave. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nik Snow! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snow misses with a straight left. Nice body kick from Cole. Cole misses with an uppercut. Snow saw that one coming. Cole fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cole takes a jab right on the kisser.
A left lands for Snow. Snow keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It seemed like Snow was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Snow uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Cole uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Snow. Snow tried to score with a low kick but Cole checks it. Cole appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Snow takes one to the chin there. Snow checks a leg kick. Nik Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cole looks to throw the jab but Snow is out of range. Cole misses with a body shot.
A clash of legs there as Snow blocks the low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cole staying out of range there. Cole misses the shot to the body. Cole backing away here, and Snow unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Cole misses with a wild body shot. Snow uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cole. Snow throws a leg kick but Cole checks it. Snow throws a hook to the side of Cole's head but Cole sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cole tried to counter with a leg kick but Snow avoided it. Snow jabs at Cole's body. Cole throws a head kick but Snow moves out of range.
Cole fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Snow checks a leg kick nicely. Snow paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Cole needs to keep his hands up - Snow had a free shot at his head there. Cole on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cole walks forward, straight into a front kick from Snow. Cole throws a looping overhand right but Snow ducks down to avoid it. Cole misses with the combination.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cole throws an overhand right that lands on Snow's shoulder, as Snow tries to avoid the shot. Snow replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Cole blocks it well. Snow scores with a kick to the midsection. Snow turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Cole misses with a straight right. Snow looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Snow throws a good cross that connects.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Snow scores with a jab to the jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cole tries to move into range but Snow moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Snow is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cole had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Snow missing with a left hand there. Cole was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cole throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Snow throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cole sees it coming and avoids it easily. Cole defending well as Snow loads up on a big left hand. Cole throwing a counter right hand but Snow manages to avoid it. The fighters circling - Cole throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Cole ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Cole is looking to score with low kicks. Snow pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cole is out of range and Snow settles back down. Cole is looking to counter with head kicks. Nik Snow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Snow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cole. Cole takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Cole checks a leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cole uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Snow. Snow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cole. A nice leg kick lands there from Snow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Snow appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Snow shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Cole chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cole lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Snow has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Snow and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Snow misses with a double jab.

Snow has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Snow presses Cole against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Snow. Nik Snow seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Snow has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Cole seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Snow can turn it around. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Snow lands a hook to the side of the head. Cole blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Snow throws a jab when Cole was well out of range. Snow takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cole is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Snow uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cole. Snow walks into a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cole comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A telegraphed right hand from Cole misses the target. Cole thows a left - swing and a miss! Snow throws a leg kick that misses. Cole keeps Snow at a distance using the push kick. Cole keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Cole is trying to drag Snow to the mat but Snow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nik Snow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Snow scores with the left hand. Cole knows he should have avoided that one. Snow will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight! Nik Snow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Snow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
