The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubenstein throws the kick towards the body but Thiago avoids it.
Thiago is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Rubenstein takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fighters circling - Rubenstein throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Thiago misses with a left hand
and Rubenstein cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thiago throws a looping overhand right but Rubenstein ducks down to avoid it.

Thiago throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rubenstein stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Thiago feints and then cracks Rubenstein's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rubenstein down.

Rubenstein lands a big uppercut and Thiago crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Thiago looks OK. Rubenstein waves Thiago back to his feet!
