Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Bower (ranked 2980 p4p, 350 weight class) and Artemis Thaddeus Iii (ranked 3907 p4p, 436 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Patrick Bower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artemis Thaddeus Iii! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Bower misses. Thaddeus Iii throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bower changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Thaddeus Iii scores with a takedown into Bower's guard. Bower wants to sweep here but Thaddeus Iii controlling him for the moment. Thaddeus Iii wants to pass the guard but Bower is keeping the position. Thaddeus Iii is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Thaddeus Iii sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bower's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Thaddeus Iii in particular looking to stall. It looks like Thaddeus Iii might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thaddeus Iii decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Patrick Bower is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Thaddeus Iii gets the takedown into side control. Bower can't do much from the bottom here. Thaddeus Iii is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bower knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Thaddeus Iii working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thaddeus Iii swings around for an armbar but Bower sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Thaddeus Iii's guard. Thaddeus Iii throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bower trying to control but Thaddeus Iii is working from the bottom. Thaddeus Iii is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bower defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bower stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thaddeus Iii swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thaddeus Iii trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Bower trying to control but Thaddeus Iii is working from the bottom. Thaddeus Iii had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bower defends it easily. Bower is posturing up here but Thaddeus Iii has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Bower tries to roll out but it's too tight and Bower has to tap! Slick submission there by Thaddeus Iii!
