Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 290 p4p, 39 weight class) and Eric Draven (ranked 357 p4p, 46 weight class). Draven comes into a darkened arena with his song building. For Heavy Metal we will die! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
39 - 19 - 3, fighting out of New York, Jack Daniels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Draven! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draven throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Draven avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Daniels throws a leg kick which misses Draven's front leg but catches the back leg as Draven tries to avoid it. Draven moves out of range of the body kick. Daniels has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Big Bear Fight Factory in the buildup to the fight. Draven throws an overhand right that lands on Daniels's shoulder, as Daniels tries to avoid the shot. Daniels throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Draven misses with an uppercut. Daniels saw that one coming. Daniels tries to clinch but Draven moves out of range. Daniels bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Draven's head backwards. A jab from Daniels finds it's way through Draven's defenses. Daniels tests Draven's chin there with a solid looking shot. Daniels throws an off balance right hand
and Draven counters with a nice kick to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Draven misses the target. Draven takes one on the button. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Daniels gets a clinch. Daniels misses with some punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels lands a nice uppercut. Draven misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch on the inside from Daniels fails to land. Daniels has a couple of punches blocked by Draven.

We've been informed that Draven has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Good body shot from Draven.

Draven pulls guard effortlessly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Draven is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Daniels defends well. Draven is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels is looking to stand up but Draven won't let him. Draven has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Daniels doesn't defend quickly enough and Draven has managed to lock this one up! Can Daniels escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Draven on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Eric Draven! After the fight, Eric Draven was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
