Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Emil Marinov (ranked 1926 p4p, 254 weight class) and Dennis Fischer (ranked 868 p4p, 126 weight class). Dennis Fischer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Emil Marinov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Fischer! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fischer misses with a hook. We've been told by Marinov's head coaches at JAG Battle Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Fischer gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fischer with a body punch. A glancing blow. Marinov throws a leg kick and Fischer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fischer throws a nice outside leg kick. Fischer bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Fischer throws a right and a left that Marinov avoids nicely. Fischer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Fischer lands a nice shot to the body.
Marinov moves out of range of the body kick from Fischer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A punch combination from Marinov misses. A combination from Marinov does no damage. Marinov misses with a straight left. Marinov tries to clinch there but Fischer circles away.
Fischer scores with the left hand. Marinov knows he should have avoided that one. Fischer throws a big shot that misses. Fischer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Marinov misses with an uppercut. Fischer saw that one coming. The fight stays on the outside here - Marinov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. A slapping leg kick lands for Fischer.
Fischer thuds a left hand into Marinov's body. Marinov has closed the distance and engaged Fischer in a clinch.
Marinov goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Fischer breaks from the clinch.
Fischer lands a jab. Fischer walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Marinov checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Fischer drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Marinov onto his butt! Marinov pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Marinov is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Fischer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A bone on bone clash there as Marinov blocks the leg kick.
Fischer is looking to land body kicks. Marinov wants to clinch. Fischer looks for the body kick but Marinov saw that one coming. Fischer slips a straight right by Marinov. Fischer is trying to counter with his kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marinov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fischer drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Marinov onto his butt! Marinov pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue. Oh Marinov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Marinov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Marinov avoids the head kick by Fischer.
Marinov looks to throw a body kick and Fischer counters with a good low kick that Marinov was not able to check. Marinov seems to have got his legs back now. Marinov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fischer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Emil Marinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marinov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A looping hook to the body misses from Marinov. Fischer does a little dance to reset his feet. Marinov throws a good cross that connects.
Marinov drops his guard momentarily, allowing Fischer to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Marinov! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Fischer takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Dennis Fischer! Dennis Fischer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
