Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Uniesky Santaban!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popinski throws a head kick but Santaban moves out of range.
Santaban throws a lazy head kick
and Popinski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Popinski scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Popinski lands a right hook to the body.
Soda Popinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santaban misses with a low kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Popinski. That's going to slow Santaban down.
Popinski tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Santaban slips under a jab from Popinski.
It seemed like Santaban was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Santaban looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Santaban misses with a hook. Popinski ducked under it nicely.
Popinski slips a jab and a cross from Santaban.
Santaban takes a jab right on the kisser.
Popinski lands with a good body shot.
Popinski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Santaban lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Santaban throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Popinski moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Santaban takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Santaban clinches up with Popinski and pushes him back against the ropes.

Popinski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Popinski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santaban.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Popinski lands a leg kick that knocks Santaban off balance momentarily.
Both fighters circling a little - Popinski finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Santaban is looking to score with low kicks.
Popinski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Santaban moves out of range of the body kick.

Popinski lands a big head kick that sends Santaban tumbling to the mat! Popinski takes a step backwards and waves Santaban back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Santaban is rocked!
Popinski sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Santaban's defenses. It connects perfectly with Santaban's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

A relieved looking Soda Popinski thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
