Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Link Gaetz (ranked 18 p4p, 3 weight class) and Iain Tower (ranked 13 p4p, 2 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tower's choice of entrance music: Kanye - Power. Iain Tower will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Iain Tower!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tower throws a push kick but Gaetz slaps the foot to one side.
Gaetz is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Tower smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Tower throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Gaetz fakes the leg kick and cracks Tower in the body.
Gaetz just misses with a punch to the body.
And Tower responds with a good body kick, but Gaetz manages to step out the way in time.
Tower throws out a loose jab but Gaetz uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Gaetz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tower circles away quickly and effectively.
Tower connects with a single shot there.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gaetz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tower scores with a jab. Gaetz acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Tower tries to bum rush Gaetz with a series of wild strikes but Gaetz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tower has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tower lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gaetz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tower! But no joy.

and Tower connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gaetz has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Guerrilla MMA in the buildup to the fight.

The fighters circling - Tower throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gaetz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gaetz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tower manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It seemed like Tower was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Gaetz scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Gaetz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tower on the side of the head.
Tower lands a big head kick that sends Gaetz tumbling to the mat! Tower takes a step backwards and waves Gaetz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Link Gaetz has been cut.
Tower takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gaetz misses with a shot to the body
and Tower counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tower has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gaetz.
Tower throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That kick from Gaetz tenderised Tower's leg. Tower is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gaetz throws a body shot but no joy.

Gaetz punishes Tower's body with a nice straight punch.
Gaetz lands a leg kick that knocks Tower off balance momentarily.

Tower's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gaetz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tower scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Link Gaetz will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tower tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gaetz. Tower shrugs it off though.
Gaetz rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Gaetz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tower's head backwards.
Link Gaetz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gaetz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tower.

Tower takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Gaetz moves into range and clinches up with Tower.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Tower in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Gaetz here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Gaetz connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Tower out cold! This one is over in a flash!
