Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pinchi Puto (ranked 1458 p4p, 183 weight class) and Johnny Vegas (ranked 1271 p4p, 162 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pinchi Puto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Vegas!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Vegas.
Vegas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Puto.
Vegas tries to clinch up.
Puto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vegas.
Vegas throws a jab but it's blocked by Puto.
It looked like Puto wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Vegas is looking to clinch but Puto is avoiding it.
Puto lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Puto misses with a left hand
and Puto takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vegas ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Vegas throws a jab but it's blocked by Puto.
Puto was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Puto defending well as Vegas loads up on a big left hand.

Puto lands a left and a right that send Vegas crashing to the mat, dazed. Puto thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Johnny Vegas has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vegas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Puto swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vegas is still on wobbly legs! Can Puto finish him?
Puto takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Vegas throws a hook but Puto blocks it.
Vegas seems to have recovered his senses.
Puto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vegas can pounce on him.
Puto has been working on his boxing with his coaches at UnderGround standup in the buildup to the fight.

Puto uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vegas.

Johnny Vegas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vegas throws a jab but it's blocked by Puto.
It looked like Puto was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Puto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Puto scores with a counter punch that sends Vegas to the canvas! Puto smells blood - he's punishing Vegas with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Vegas has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

An out of breath Pinchi Puto thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
