Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bardia Farrokhzad!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Funky Lotus Style!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farrokhzad stuffs the takedown.
Lotus Style misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
It looked like Farrokhzad wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Farrokhzad smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Farrokhzad, as that shot connected.
Lotus Style dives in and grabs Farrokhzad's left leg, looking for a takedown. Farrokhzad pushes down on Lotus Style's head and hops out.
Farrokhzad is looking to counter punch.
Bardia Farrokhzad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Funky Lotus Style.
Farrokhzad fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lotus Style looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bardia Farrokhzad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Farrokhzad stuffs the takedown attempt from Lotus Style. Lotus Style gets slowly back to his feet.
Lotus Style fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Farrokhzad changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Farrokhzad lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lotus Style at a distance.
Lotus Style takes a shot right to the bread basket.

The crowd cheers as Farrokhzad lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lotus Style doesn't seem phased though.
Farrokhzad cracks Lotus Style with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Farrokhzad has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lotus Style to stand back up!
Lotus Style is rocked!
It looks like Funky Lotus Style has been cut.
Farrokhzad ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Lotus Style out cold! The fight is over!
