The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Robins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Robins wants it to stay on the feet. Robins steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ishida. Robins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ishida. Robins tries to counter with a clinch but Ishida shakes him off and moves away. Robins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ishida closes the distance and clinches up with KJ, looking for a takedown. Ishida pushes KJ against the cage but KJ circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ishida manages to end up in side control.#SUB2# Ishida has hold of Sanford's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sanford tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ishida cranks the arm and Sanford screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sanford, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
