#R1# Salerno shoots for a takedown but Kriss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.#CL# Salerno rushes Kriss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Salerno goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kriss prevents it.
Salerno is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Radley Salerno. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salerno is trying to drag Kriss to the mat but Kriss just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.#TD# Salerno wants the takedown. Kriss is fighting it off but Salerno persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kriss's guard against the cage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Salerno makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Salerno working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. #ES2# Kriss pushes Salerno off and gets back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Salerno. Kriss looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Radley Salerno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kriss throws a low kick, looking for Salerno's leg but Salerno calmly moves out of range. #TD# and Salerno counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Salerno. Kriss wants to sweep here but Salerno controlling him for the moment. Kriss manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Salerno manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB# Salerno is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salerno sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kriss defending well though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salerno is stalling here. Kriss is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Salerno seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kriss has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sloppy strikes there by Kriss.#T2# Salerno is trying to get back to half guard. The ground and pound from Kriss seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Salerno can't do much from the bottom here. Salerno is looking for a sweep. Mail throws a series of punches but Kriss moves out of range. Mail connects with a body shot that sends Kriss's belly button to the back. Mail scores with a sloppy right hand. Kriss should have avoided that one. Kriss looks to throw a body kick and Mail counters with a nice uppercut. Kriss takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mail throws out a powerful jab. Kriss takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kriss takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Handsome Mail showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Handsome Mail is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mail punishes Kriss's body with a nice straight punch. A low kick from Kriss misses and Mail counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Joff Kriss has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice shot lands for Mail.

Alvarez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Alvarez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kriss avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.#BC# Kriss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Alvarez closes the distance looking to clinch and Kriss counters with a nice body shot. Alvarez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Kriss turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Alvarez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Nice uppercut lands for Kriss. That snapped Alvarez's head back.
Guillermo Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kriss lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Alvarez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Joff Kriss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. and Kriss counters with a nice body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Kriss engages and cracks Alvarez with a massive lead left hook - Alvarez tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Kriss is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Kriss's corner calls for a 1-2. Kriss obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. #CUT2#It looks like Max Holloway has been cut. A big left from Kriss misses. Holloway fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Holloway shoots in for a double leg but Kriss sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kriss! But no joy. Holloway is breathing heavily. Kriss throws out a loose jab but Holloway uses good head movement to avoid it. Kriss lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Kriss tries to avoid it but Holloway manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kriss to the ground. Kriss escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kriss swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kriss throws a leg kick which misses Holloway's front leg but catches the back leg as Holloway tries to avoid it. Kriss lands a jab to the nose. Oh Holloway is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kriss is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Holloway flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Holloway is out cold! Kriss holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
