As a teenager, Nui decided to join the fighting career as soon as he got out a school and was able to begin training. He has an advantage being a big guy. He is a giant compared to most people. In fact, he is one of the few Hawaiian people who get this big. Most Hawaiians are small, no this one. Being this big also has a down side. He has joint problems and sometimes problems walking or getting up. This effects his fighting, but somehow he always finds a way to make it work.
