Anastasio Gamboa started his MMA career at the age of 19 by defeating a local rising Nicaraguan boxing specialist at a Vale Tudo event that would later give him the ticket to the big MMA leagues in the United Kingdom, which he was introduced to on the behalf of an English scout and promoter with good money on the young hopeful. After an unlikely sour turn of events with his new English manager, Gamboa was approached by Sven Aanenson and a business relationship was created.
