Shugo was born in Tokyo to a writer father and musician mother, a couple that met and bonded due to a shared love of... Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. These passions were inevitably instilled in Shugo whose childhood involved a lot of competition, as well as a sleuth of creative endeavours. Whilst studying literature at university, Shugo competes part-time in MMA and plays the bass guitar for his shoegaze band, Nakanoise. |
