#R1# Salinas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Jose to counter with a crisp jab. Salinas with a poor takedown and Jose counters with a nice uppercut. Salinas shoots and misses and Jose counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danilo Salinas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salinas misses with a takedown and Jose counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jose lands a nice shot that snaps Salinas's head back.
Jose scores with a sloppy right hand. Salinas should have avoided that one. #TD# Salinas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jose sprawls well initially but Salinas persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Salinas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jose avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Salinas. Salinas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Salinas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Salinas is taking a breather. Jose says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jose is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Salinas takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jose can do anything to dispel that myth. Salinas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Salinas is keen to just control but Jose is a slippery customer. Salinas is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jose is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Salinas content to control rather than advance. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Salinas uses his free foot to push down on Jose's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jose. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jose regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Salinas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lewson wants to sweep but no luck. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Short rolls with it to try and escape but Chen cranks on the arm and Short is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Oops... bit sloppy there by Davis. #REVR# Davis tries to roll over but Melendez keeps him under control. Melendez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Davis is looking for a sweep. Melendez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Melendez controlling the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Melendez passes the guard and advances to mount! Melendez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Melendez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Melendez lands a big elbow. Davis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Melendez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Melendez is controlling Davis's posture. Melendez is continuing to stall.#T3# Let's hope that Melendez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Ball circles away from the clinch attempt#TD2# and Ball counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ball trying to control the position from guard on top but De Rabat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ball might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control De Rabat haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Ball slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. McGregor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McGregor is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Trenth Ball is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McGregor manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ball's best efforts. Ball wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGregor keeps working. #T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ball is looking to stall here but McGregor recovers full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGregor pulls Ball in close to his closed guard and prevents Ball from doing any damage or advancing position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Meto McGregor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McGregor tries to strike from the bottom.

Todd Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronin Davis.#TD2# Davis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Savage has one foot on Davis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Savage tries to counter by clinching up but Davis breaks away and moves out of range.#T1##CL# Savage closes the distance and clinches. #TD# Savage pulls guard successfully.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Horrible takedown attempt by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage, which made it look bad. Davis is still on wobbly legs! Can Savage finish him?#T4# Savage is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Davis flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Davis is out cold! Savage holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Chaude tries to clinch up. Chaude thuds his right hand into Short's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Chaude works the jab nicely.#ROC2#Short is rocked! Chaude measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Short! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Bond lands a nice shot to the body. A short right hand to the side of the head by Bond. Bond tries to throw a body punch but Johnson avoids it by throwing Bond back against the cage. Bond has a couple of punches blocked by Johnson.
#BC2# Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#CL# Bond pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch. Johnson tries to pull guard but Bond won't allow it.
#TD2# Johnson jumps into guard, dragging Bond to the mat.
Bond has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bond is one step ahead there. #SUB2# Bond has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Johnson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bond is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Johnson pulls down on the head and he's put Bond to sleep! This one is all over!
