Maka Walala: I'm here with Triston Rioka. Say Triston you have a fight at Bowser's Castle 7 with what many would say your toughest opponent and a guy who was your toughest win in a rematch under a different banner with Alexander Ellis.
Rioka: Yeah he is a good tough fighter. The guy really knows MMA well. It is a rematch I was hoping for. Actually funny story when O.R.G. went under and I got an offer from Bowser's Castle I saw that Ellis had went there so I signed to.
Walale: Interesting to want a rematch with someone you have already beaten so bad to go to another org for a chance to fight them again.
Rioka: Well for me the book isn't closed on the fight. Yes I won that fight he started out well I'll admit I lost the first round, but I won the following four. I was the more dominating fighter in that fight besting him everywhere but I couldn't finish him after almost a 30 minute fight, and that rubs me the wrong way. I'm going to finish him this time around and close that book.
Walale: How do you think Ellis feels about this fight?
Rioka: I would imagine he wants this fight too. I was a big underdog last time we fought in which he underestimated me and came in there and took his title away from him. I'm sure that bothers him today.
Walale: Do you think he will come in with a different gameplan than when you two fought last time?
Rioka: Not really if you watch any of his fights he does the same thing, he is very one dimensional fighter in my book. He takes you down and changes positions to try and look for an opening in which to submit you. He can look all day for an opening on me but he isn't going to submit me.
Walale: How do you see the fight going?
Rioka: Well I'll tell you what I don't see him winning. What I do see is I'll win by KO, submission, or decision I can win a fight by more than just submission but I do have them too. |
