Well U.H.F. - 1 is in the books. With 8 sucsessful fights and 4 fighters moving on in our 185lbs tourny, the middle weight division has set the bar for those to follow.
The night kicked off with a four fight under card that saw all fights stopped within the distance. The wins were highlighted by Hank Hankerson's spinning back fist and head kick knock-out of Motarora Ramrung, earning him "Knock-out of the Night". John McCormack also earned "Submission of the Night" with his kimura win over Apple Pies.
The main card featured the first round of our 185lbs championship tournament. Asdin Nidsa, Theo Paris, Clubber Lang, and Tim Waganowski were all winners and have advanced to the tournaments semi-finals. Here is how they got there.
In the tournaments first fight Tim Waganowski surprised everyone, especially Lemmy Winks by taking him down five times, and grinding out a unanimous decision. Pork N Beans ended up on the wrong end of a controversial decision in the tournaments second fight. Inspite of Lang's 31 failed takedowns and lack of action when he got there, the judges still gave him the fight.
March madness found its way to Sydney's Micro Arena in the nights co-main event. Theo Paris shocked all in attendance by upsetting tournament favorite Ryan Wolf in the first round. Paris quickly took Wolf down, mounted him, and pounded him into submission to earn the victory.
The nights main event saw Asdin Nidsa out class Michael Whittaker with punch combinations in the first round. Whittaker tried to stop Nidsa's punches by clinching up, but Nidsa tagged him with punches every time Whittaker released. Nidsa finally hit Whittaker with a one - two combo that sent him crashing to the ground. Nidsa followed him to the ground with punches, forcing the ref to stop the fight at 3:55 of the second round.
Now with U.H.F. - 1 completed, our 185lbs tournament semi-finalists named, we now look forward to our next big event. Ultimate Hardcore Fighting is still looking for fighters to help grow our roster so we can continue to give our fans great fights. That's all for now, we will see you next week after all the exciting action U.H.F. - 2 is sure to bring. |
