The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gniewek cracks Kersikov with a right hand to the side of the head.

Kersikov takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Kersikov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've been informed that Kersikov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Kersikov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Darko kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ominous Drumming. Vettori has chosen Police On My Back- The Rocketz as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
