Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexei Berdnikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Robbins! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robbins doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. No luck for Robbins with that takedown attempt. Berdnikov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Robbins. Robbins tries to clinch but fails miserably and Berdnikov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Robbins misses with a hook. Berdnikov ducked under it nicely. It looked like Berdnikov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Robbins. Robbins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Berdnikov's waist but Berdnikov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robbins off to one side. Robbins misses with a takedown and Berdnikov counters with a left to the body. Alexei Berdnikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Robbins. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robbins's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Berdnikov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Robbins scrambles back to his feet. Berdnikov leaves Robbins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robbins with a poor takedown and Berdnikov counters with a stiff right hand. Berdnikov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Berdnikov wants it to stay on the feet. Dylan Robbins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berdnikov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Robbins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Berdnikov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A bit of stalling here from Robbins.
Berdnikov gets through Robbins's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Robbins tries to pull guard but Berdnikov holds him up against the cage and eventually Robbins drops back down to his feet.
Robbins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Berdnikov stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Berdnikov dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Berdnikov gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berdnikov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Robbins's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Berdnikov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Berdnikov has an Americana. Robbins didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Berdnikov is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Berdnikov hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Alexei Berdnikov! A very excited looking Alexei Berdnikov rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Packer lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Alexander Pichushkin has been cut. Pichushkin takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Pichushkin throws a big shot that misses. Packer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Alexander Pichushkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pichushkin throws out a loose jab but Packer uses good head movement to avoid it. Packer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A decent looking cross lands there for Packer. We've been told by Packer's head coaches at He Man Women Haters Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Packer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Pichushkin misses with a hook. Packer ducked under it nicely. Packer defending well as Pichushkin loads up on a big left hand. Pichushkin lands a glancing blow to the side of Packer's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Packer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pichushkin. Packer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Fudd Packer has been cut. Pichushkin's corner calls for a 1-2. Pichushkin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Packer lands a high kick!
Pichushkin takes a swing at Packer's ribcage but misses. It looked like Packer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Packer lands with a straight right. Pichushkin didn't see that one coming. Packer misses with a straight right. Packer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Pichushkin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pichushkin misses with a looping left. Pichushkin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Packer moves away. Pichushkin misses with an uppercut. Packer saw that one coming. Pichushkin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Packer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Packer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pichushkin.

Packer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pichushkin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Packer goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Pichushkin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Packer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pichushkin scrambles back to his feet. Packer lands with a slapping head kick. A bone on bone clash there as Pichushkin blocks the leg kick.
Pichushkin throws an overhand right that drops Packer like a sack of potatoes! Pichushkin dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Specter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sleed.
Sleed misses with a wild body shot. Specter throws a low kick, looking for Sleed's leg but Sleed calmly moves out of range. Sleed throwing a counter right hand but Specter manages to avoid it. Sleed stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Specter. Specter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sleed connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Specter throws a leg kick and Sleed counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sleed is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Specter trying to control the position.

Sleed appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Specter takes the fight into the clinch. Specter goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sleed is working Specter over against the cage. Specter lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Specter is trying to drag Sleed to the mat but Sleed just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sleed is pressed up against the cage. Specter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sleed down to the mat. Sleed avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jock Sleed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harvey Specter. Good leg kick by Specter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
An inside leg kick lands from Specter. Sleed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sleed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Specter. Those have got to be taking their toll on Specter's gas tank. Specter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Sleed lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sleed lands with a straight right. Specter didn't see that one coming. Specter looking to sit in guard and control but Sleed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sleed trying to control but Specter is working from the bottom. Sleed lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Specter has his foot on Sleed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sleed works his way back into a safe position though. Sleed stands up over Specter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sleed in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Our spies down at at Club Pain inform us that Specter has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Specter wants to sweep here but Sleed controlling him for the moment. Sleed landing some decent shots from guard. Sleed makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sleed takes a swing at Specter's ribcage but misses. Sleed ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Sleed keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sleed jabs Specter right on the nose. Specter blinks but takes it well. Sleed dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sleed looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Specter just misses with a punch to the body.
Sleed takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Specter looks to land a right hand but Sleed moved out of range. Specter's corner calls for a 1-2. Specter obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Specter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sleed holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Specter goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sleed has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Specter but great work by Sleed. Sleed connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Specter some visible discomfort.
Specter can't do much from the bottom here. Sleed trying to control the action but Specter is working from the bottom. Specter scores with a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sleed staying calm. Sleed scoring with punches from side control. Specter tries to bench press Sleed off him but Sleed keeps the position. Sleed scoring with punches from side control. Sleed is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Specter's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sleed working the body and head with strikes. Specter is looking to regain half guard here but Sleed keeps moving and retains side control. Sleed trying to control the position but Specter is working away. Specter is being controlled here. Specter defending against the ground and pound. Sleed is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Specter will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Specter tries to improve position but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Jock Sleed showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sleed has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Abbott is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ward is looking to take a break and control but Abbott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ward not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matwijenko on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ra misses with a right hand and Matwijenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ra throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Matwijenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ra swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Matwijenko. Ra looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Matwijenko feints and then cracks Ra's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ra down. Nice uppercut lands for Ra. That snapped Matwijenko's head back.
Matwijenko blocks a jab. Matwijenko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ra throws out the jab. Ra misses with a wild combination.
And Matwijenko counters with a quick kick to the body but Ra blocks it. Ra looks to throw the jab but Matwijenko is out of range. Ra is looking to clinch but Matwijenko is avoiding it.
Ra misses with a straight right. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matwijenko swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ra drives through and clinches with Matwijenko against the cage.

Matwijenko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Ra tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Matwijenko to counter with a crisp jab.
