The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rakija throws a head kick but Gold moves out of range.
Jab, jab by Rakija - just one landing.
Jack Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gold lands with a nice body punch.
Rakija uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gold.
Gold slips a jab from Rakija.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gold enables Rakija to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gold manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gold controls Rakija momentarily but Rakija frees himself.
Gold wants to sweep but no luck.

Gold is staying active underneath Rakija, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rakija is looking for a kimura but Gold is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rakija to get the leverage.
Gold is in trouble now - Rakija has advanced to mount!

Gold is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
My spies in Hellfire Antechamber inform me that Rakija has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Rakija is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Gold with him. Gold is trying to defend but Rakija has an arm under the chin now! Gold grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Avalon catches Mingo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Avalon walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mingo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mingo misses with a two punch combination.
Avalon attempts a counter takedown but Mingo avoids it well and moves away.
Avalon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mingo misses with a hook. Avalon ducked under it nicely.
Avalon throwing a counter right hand but Mingo manages to avoid it.
Mingo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Nice defenses there by Mingo.

Avalon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mingo to the ground. Avalon is now in Mingo's guard.

Oh Avalon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mingo connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Avalon tumbling to the canvas! Mingo pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Avalon was done - good stoppage!
