These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingsley swinging wildly here.
Payakaroon appears to be looking for a big counter. Kingsley lands with a hook. Payakaroon tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Payakaroon throws a nice head kick!
Payakaroon throws a head kick that misses. Kingsley throws a nice inside leg kick. Payakaroon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Payakaroon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kingsley. Payakaroon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James Kingsley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kingsley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Payakaroon is trying to defend but Kingsley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kingsley drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Payakaroon defends it well. No joy there for Payakaroon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Payakaroon tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kingsley's elbow. Kingsley blocks a body shot from Payakaroon. Kingsley tries a body shot but Payakaroon blocks it.
Kingsley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A punch combination from Payakaroon misses. Kingsley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Samart Payakaroon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Payakaroon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Payakaroon tries to bum rush Kingsley with a series of wild strikes but Kingsley uses good footwork to avoid the assault. This has been an exciting period of action! Kingsley fails with a takedown attempt. Kingsley misses with a few strikes there.
Kingsley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Payakaroon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kingsley avoids the body shot from Payakaroon.
Payakaroon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. And Kingsley tries to counter it with a takedown but Payakaroon pushes his down on his head and steps out. Payakaroon fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Samart Payakaroon will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Payakaroon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kingsley with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kingsley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Payakaroon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Payakaroon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kingsley's guard.

He's being very persistent here but Kingsley manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kingsley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Payakaroon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Payakaroon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Payakaroon wants to sweep here but Kingsley controlling him for the moment. Kingsley advances position into side control! Kingsley wants to control for a moment but Payakaroon uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Payakaroon wants to improve his position but Kingsley is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kingsley connects with a nice short shot to Payakaroon's temple. Payakaroon wants to improve his position but Kingsley is controlling well.

Kingsley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Payakaroon as he avoids it easily. Payakaroon is looking to clinch but Kingsley is avoiding it.
Kingsley on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kingsley misses with a hook. Payakaroon tried to counter with a leg kick but Kingsley avoided it. Kingsley lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kingsley. Samart Payakaroon is winning the standup battle so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kingsley with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Payakaroon to score with a decent uppercut. Kingsley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

James Kingsley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kingsley ducks under a wild hook from Payakaroon. Payakaroon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kingsley. A head kick misses from Kingsley. Kingsley blocks a head kick by Payakaroon.
Kingsley goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Payakaroon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Payakaroon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Payakaroon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kingsley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Payakaroon throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kingsley feints the counter takedown. Kingsley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Payakaroon on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kingsley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Payakaroon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kingsley.
A big left from Payakaroon misses. Payakaroon is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A jab from Kingsley finds it's way through Payakaroon's defenses. Payakaroon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. and Payakaroon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

As Kingsley looks to move away, Payakaroon throws a big counter combo but Kingsley just gets out of the way. Kingsley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Payakaroon misses with a low kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Kingsley misses the target. Kingsley lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. It looks like Payakaroon has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Payakaroon misses with the combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Payakaroon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kingsley moves away. Payakaroon throws a low kick but Kingsley avoids it. Payakaroon misses the jab. Payakaroon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kingsley manages to avoid it. A decent looking cross lands there for Kingsley. Payakaroon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kingsley. Kingsley feints the counter takedown. Payakaroon misses with a wild body shot. Payakaroon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Payakaroon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Payakaroon throws a right hand that Kingsley ducks under and follows up with a left that Kingsley also avoids with ease. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kingsley works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Payakaroon darts in and clinches Kingsley up against the cage. Kingsley tries a body shot but Payakaroon blocks it.

Aurelio takes a swing at Thrul's ribcage but misses. Thrul tries to counter with a takedown but Aurelio is quick to defend against it. Thrul turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A telegraphed right hand from Thrul misses the target. Aurelio clobbers Thrul with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Thrul lands a head kick!
It looks like Marcelo Aurelio has been cut. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Aurelio has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Thrul closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aurelio is in trouble now - Thrul has advanced to mount! Aurelio is bucking up trying to escape but Thrul cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Thrul with the ground and pound from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thrul scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Aurelio is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Thrul prevents Aurelio from getting the reversal. Aurelio is still in real trouble! Can Thrul finish him? Oooooh, big shot lands for Thrul! Aurelio is hurt baaadly! Thrul is firing away with more strikes - Aurelio is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wettin clinches up with Hoi and pushes him back against the cage. Wettin is trying to trip Hoi. He has hold of a leg but Hoi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wettin persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Wettin with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wettin stands up over Hoi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hoi trying to keep a closed guard but Wettin is proving a slippery customer.

Wettin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hoi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Sole needs to keep his hands up - Pulkkinen had a free shot at his head there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! That was a close second round but I would say that Pena Pulkkinen will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
