The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andrews throws a right and a left that both miss. The fight moves into the clinch position. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Holloway creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Andrews looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A left hand lands to the body for Holloway.
A short right from Holloway on the inside. Holloway lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Holloway scores with an uppercut up the middle. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graves clinches up with Battle and pushes him back against the cage. Graves trying to stall but Battle improves his position.

Battle tries to pull guard but Graves holds him up against the cage and eventually Battle drops back down to his feet.

Graves works his way back into a safe position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battle had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. We've been hearing reports that Battle has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buysse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Buysse tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Thompson defends well and Buysse ends up having to push Thompson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Thompson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Buysse should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Buysse tries for a takedown but Thompson circles away easily and Thompson counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Marc Buysse has been cut. Leigh Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Buysse. Buysse shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buysse gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Thompson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Buysse walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Buysse tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Thompson counters with a nice uppercut. Buysse with a lazy takedown attempt and Thompson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. We've been told by Thompson's head coaches at London MMA Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Buysse looks winded! Thompson scores with a hook to the body. Buysse takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Thompson throws a series of strikes that have Buysse backpedaling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Buysse on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Buysse takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
