3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dvornoy Alkash! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alkash moves into range and connects with a jab. Alkash tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. It looked like Diaz wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Alkash ducks under a wild hook from Diaz. Alkash throws an overhand right that lands on Diaz's shoulder, as Diaz tries to avoid the shot. Diaz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Alkash missing with a left hand there. Diaz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Alkash lands with a kick to the ribs.
No joy there for Alkash, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Alkash is looking to slow Diaz down with leg kicks. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice inside leg kick there by Alkash. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Diaz uses from the top position. Diaz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Diaz is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Alkash is defending well though. Diaz let's go of the attempt for now. Diaz fires out a quick counter leg kick but Alkash just manages to avoid it. Alkash moves away from the strike by Diaz. Diaz throws a leg kick but Alkash sees it coming and moves out of range. It looks like AB Positive has been cut. Positive tries for a takedown but McQuirre circles away easily and McQuirre counters with a straight punch to the midsection. McQuirre lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Positive clinches up against the ropes. McQuirre can't find room to land a body shot as Positive controls the action.
McQuirre lands with a short shot to the head. Positive has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McQuirre avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McQuirre. McQuirre has a couple of punches blocked by Positive.

McQuirre defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Positive. Positive moves into the clinch successfully.

Oh Positive is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Positive tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. McQuirre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Positive tries to clinch there but McQuirre circles away.
It seemed like McQuirre was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Positive on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Positive misses with a takedown attempt enabling McQuirre to counter with a crisp jab. McQuirre changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McQuirre walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Positive drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! McQuirre swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Positive's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry McQuirre! Harry McQuirre decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Bull connects with a right hand. Smith shakes it off. Bull throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Smith gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Bull getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Bull. Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Bull. Smith is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Bull lands a big right hand that sends Smith crashing to the mat! Bull stays standing though and waves Smith back to his feet! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hill gets his hands free as Coleman looks to control. Hill is trying to stick to Coleman's back but Coleman is turning into Hill. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hill's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Coleman. Hill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Coleman with a nice head shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coleman clinches up against the ropes. Coleman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hill gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hill wants to take the fight to the mat but Coleman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Coleman pushes Hill back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Coleman is leaning against Hill and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Coleman lands on the inside with an uppercut. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Coleman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hill up against the ropes. Coleman lands with a left to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman digs a right hand underneath Hill's ribcage. Hill let out a lung full of air as it connected. Coleman lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hill backwards. Coleman scores with a shoulder strike. Coleman works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Coleman makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Coleman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
It looks like Mark Hill has been cut. Coleman has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hill clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Coleman scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Hill is looking for a way out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coleman connects with a big shot to the side of Hill's head.
Coleman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Coleman punishes Hill with strikes from the back mount. Coleman has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Hill. Hill wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Coleman.

Hill is rocked! Coleman has the hooks in. Hill is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Coleman is punishing Hill with some ground and pound. Oh Hill is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Coleman cracks Hill with a big right hand from the back mount! Hill immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Coleman takes this one by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phil Coleman! A very excited looking Phil Coleman rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
