Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Luis Vega! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vega rushes Miller and presses him up against the cage. Vega gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Miller.
Vega throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Millers head. Miller is trying to pull guard but Vega turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Vega throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. I was talking to Miller's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Vega misses with some punches.

Still in half guard, Vega seems content to control. Vega is looking to take a break and control but Miller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. He's managed it. Vega stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vega got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vega has managed to get both his arms back between Miller's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luis Vega showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Yoshida misses with a shot to the body and Frame counters with a crisp one two that drops Yoshida! Frame thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Yoshida to his feet! Yoshida is in big trouble!

Snorten scores with a sloppy right hand. Telushikin should have avoided that one. Telushikin throws an overhand right that lands on Snorten's shoulder, as Snorten tries to avoid the shot. A slow jab from Telushikin misses its intended target. Telushikin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Snorten looks to score with a jab to the body but Telushikin is just out of range. Snorten swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Snorten throws a jab but it's blocked by Telushikin. Telushikin misses with a takedown attempt - Snorten sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Snorten smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Snorten throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Telushikin lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Snorten swings away with a leg kick that misses. Telushikin with a nice cross. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Telushikin scores with a nice head shot. Snorten throws a leg kick that is checked and Telushikin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Telushikin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Snorten defends well and Telushikin ends up having to push Snorten into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Telushikin slips a straight right by Snorten.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A solid body kick from Snorten. Snorten moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Horrible takedown attempt by Telushikin or perhaps it was just good defense by Snorten, which made it look bad. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Snorten to score with a decent uppercut. Snorten jabbing away but nothing is landing. A jab from Snorten misses. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chugman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Chugman wants to control but Lennon is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lennon stops Chugman from passing to mount. Chugman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lennon, who protects the arm well. Lennon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chugman's best efforts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lennon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chugman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Lennon swings for the body but Chugman moves out of range.

Chugman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lennon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chugman drops back for a leg! We've been hearing good reports from Lennon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Chugman with shots to the head and body - Lennon looks very uncomfortable down there. Chugman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lennon turns into him and now he's in Chugman's guard.
Lennon throws a big right hand that misses. Chugman controls Lennon momentarily but Lennon frees himself. Lennon won't allow Chugman to sweep him here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lennon looking to sit in guard and control but Chugman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lennon keeping moving, preventing Chugman from controlling successfully.

"I'm sorry" says Tripp. Trujillo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tripp throws a leg kick and Tripp takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Trujillo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tripp takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A shot to the liver by Tripp. Beautiful body shot. Trujillo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Tripp on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tripp has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tripp misses with an uppercut. Trujillo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tripp stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Trujillo looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Trujillo throws an overhand right that lands on Tripp's shoulder, as Tripp tries to avoid the shot. A jab from Tripp misses.

Umm has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Neil throws a looping overhand right but Umm ducks down to avoid it. Neil is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Umm moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rect Umm! Rect Umm retains his light heavyweight title! A very excited looking Rect Umm made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet.
