The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destroyer throws a body punch but Shain moves out of range.
Shain throws out a counter right but Destroyer avoids it with no problem.
A big right from Shain misses.
It looked like Destroyer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shain.
Destroyer blocks a leg kick.
Shain connects with a single shot there.
Destroyer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shain was well out of range. Poor timing from Destroyer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Destroyer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shain sprawls well initially but Destroyer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Shain controls Destroyer momentarily but Destroyer frees himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been hearing reports that Tsuruta has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
