Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anike Chukwu (ranked 2807 p4p, 3972 weight class) and Trane Knox (ranked 316 p4p, 422 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chukwu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to There Goes The Neighborhood - Bodycount. The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeAngelo just misses with a punch to the body.
Paris works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Paris gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Paris decides to pull guard.
Paris wants to sweep here but DeAngelo controlling him for the moment.
Paris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Paris has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Paris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
