The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fontana shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ruthless manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fontana thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fontana is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ruthless escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fontana gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ruthless is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fontana is aware though and is defending well.
Fontana wants to control from the top but Ruthless keeps moving.
Ruthless wants to sweep but no luck.

Ruthless working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Fontana has passed into half guard!

Hall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. DeAngelo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hall is in DeAngelo's guard.

DeAngelo has his feet on Hall's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Hall throws a right hand that DeAngelo ducks under and follows up with a left that DeAngelo also avoids with ease.
Hall is trying hard to land a takedown here. DeAngelo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hall has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hall there as he acknowledges the shot.
DeAngelo misses with a hook. Hall ducked under it nicely.
Hall changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from DeAngelo.
Despite the aggression on Hall's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Hall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
DeAngelo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
DeAngelo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hall at a distance.
DeAngelo throws a jab but it's blocked by Hall.
Hall misses with a series of wild punches.
Joseph DeAngelo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
DeAngelo tests Hall's chin there with a solid looking shot.

DeAngelo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And Hall tries to counter it with a takedown but DeAngelo pushes his down on his head and steps out.
DeAngelo throws a series of punches but Hall moves out of range.
Hall lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!

DeAngelo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
DeAngelo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
DeAngelo lands with a nice body punch.
DeAngelo misses with a left hand
and DeAngelo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

DeAngelo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hall sprawling to the canvas! Hall rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can DeAngelo finish him?!
Hall is rocked!
DeAngelo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
DeAngelo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hall is still on wobbly legs! Can DeAngelo finish him?
That has opened up Sirus Hall's cut even more.

DeAngelo walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Hall drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! DeAngelo swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Hall's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Mandinos takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Loria tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Loria ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Mandinos gets tackled into the cage by Loria. Loria maintains the clinch.
Loria lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Mandinos fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mandinos's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Loria lands a left hand.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Loria.
A head punch on the inside from Loria fails to land.
Loria lands with a right to the head.
Loria lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Kahdi Mandinos has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Loria misses with the head strike.
Loria swings wildly with an uppercut but Mandinos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mandinos blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Loria looks to throw an elbow but misses.
With the fighters up against the cage, Loria throws an elbow but misses.
Mandinos takes a shot to the head.
Mandinos tries for a takedown but Loria manages to get underhooks.

Mandinos wants the takedown. Loria is fighting it off but Mandinos persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Loria's guard against the cage.
Loria has momentary wrist control but Mandinos slips an elbow through the middle.
Loria preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Loria definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mandinos looking to sit in guard and control but Loria gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Loria controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mandinos looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mandinos pulls Loria in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mandinos had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Loria defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Loria avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Loria wants to control from the top but Mandinos keeps moving.

Mandinos pushes a forearm under Loria's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Loria is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
