Adesanya has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Adesanya lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lynar circles away quickly and effectively.

Chavez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Connor throws out a loose jab but Walters uses good head movement to avoid it.

Walters looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Connor is fending him off so far but Walters persists. Nope, Connor circles away and we're back to standing.

Walters has managed to clinch.

Connor throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Walterss head.
Walters drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Connor gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Walters cracks Connor with a big elbow.
Walters with the ground and pound but Connor regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Walters is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Walters wants to control but Connor is keeping him busy.
Walters looks to land a strike but Connor avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Walters throws a strike but Connor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kevin Walters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
