Ryker lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Wick crumples to the floor! Ryker milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

In his post fight interview, Brutus Ryker started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Furioto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aldo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Furioto has Aldo in his guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Furioto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Aldo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Furioto swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Furioto has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Aldo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Furioto has tightened it up now! Aldo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Conor Aldo was interviewed post fight and said 'I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed. I will never apologize for taking a shot. Shit happens.'.

Main event

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joseph DeAngelo (ranked 647 p4p, 1353 weight class) and Longsun Zhao (ranked 98 p4p, 196 weight class). Longsun Zhao told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Longsun Zhao!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeAngelo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zhao.
Zhao misses with a head kick.
DeAngelo takes a swing at Zhao's ribcage but misses.
DeAngelo cracks Zhao with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
DeAngelo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
DeAngelo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As DeAngelo backs off Zhao throws a huge counter combo but DeAngelo manages to avoid it all.
DeAngelo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Zhao throws a lazy head kick
and Zhao takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zhao bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Zhao cracks DeAngelo with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! DeAngelo looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away can Zhao finish him?
DeAngelo is rocked!
DeAngelo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zhao weaves into range and cracks DeAngelo right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! DeAngelo goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Zhao is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
