The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac An Fhilidh lands a jab to Boucher's midsection. Mac An Fhilidh tries to clinch up. Mac An Fhilidh clinches. Mac An Fhilidh softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Mac An Fhilidh lands with a short shot to the head. Boucher pressing his opponent against the cage. Boucher is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mac An Fhilidh to keep the fight standing. Boucher blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Boucher struggling a bit here. Boucher is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Mac An Fhilidh tries to move to mount but Boucher blocks the move with his legs. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Boucher tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mac An Fhilidh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mac An Fhilidh tries to clinch up but Boucher circles away and keeps his distance. Mac An Fhilidh tries to clinch but Boucher moves out of range. Boucher tries to counter with a takedown but Mac An Fhilidh is quick to defend against it. Boucher fails with a takedown attempt. Mac An Fhilidh walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Boucher drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mac An Fhilidh swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Boucher's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tobias Naumann! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Watson and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naumann throws a right and a left that Hoshino avoids nicely. Naumann gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hoshino counters with a thumping low kick. Hoshino is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A slapping body kick lands there for Hoshino. Naumann is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Yuuji Hoshino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tobias Naumann. Nice straight punches there by Hoshino. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hoshino. Naumann thows a leg kick but Hoshino checks it and Hoshino counters with a straight right hand. Hoshino swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Naumann tries for a takedown but Hoshino circles away easily and Hoshino counters with a nice leg kick. Naumann takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Naumann throws a combination that misses and Hoshino makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Naumann really felt that one! Hoshino turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoshino keeps the fight on the outside. It appears Hoshino was looking to counter with a kick there. Naumann doesn't manage to clinch there - Hoshino circles away.
Naumann sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Hoshino with a hook. Naumann is rocked! It looks like Tobias Naumann has been cut. Naumann takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Naumann is still on wobbly legs! Can Hoshino finish him? Hoshino staying out of range there. Hoshino with the inside leg kick. Naumann tries for a takedown but Hoshino circles away easily and Hoshino counters with a crisp right that sends Naumann to the canvas! Hoshino follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Mendez wants to control from the top but Zahari keeps moving. Zahari is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mendez dives into side control.

He's almost out here... but no, Mendez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Zahari takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
