The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drama throws out a head kick that George doesn't see coming - it connects and sends George crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into George's eyes and has decided to let it go on! It looks like Tearrius George has been cut. Drama jabs George right on the nose. George blinks but takes it well. George walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!

Buchanan throws a low kick, looking for Van Hire's leg but Van Hire calmly moves out of range. Van Hire throwing a counter right hand but Buchanan manages to avoid it. Van Hire dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Van Hire throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Van Hire jabs Buchanan right on the nose. Buchanan blinks but takes it well. Buchanan misses with a lunging right hand
and Van Hire counters with a nice body kick. The fighters circle momentarily. Van Hire darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Buchanan throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Van Hire throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Buchanan is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the ropes! Wow!

Thibodeaux misses with a right hand and De Lagardere counters with a straight right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De Lagardere uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thibodeaux. Thibodeaux looks to land a left hand but De Lagardere moved out of range nicely. A swing and a miss from Thibodeaux. A shot to the body from De Lagardere misses and Thibodeaux counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thibodeaux throws a body kick, spinning off balance and De Lagardere counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thibodeaux thinking. Thibodeaux lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as De Lagardere crumples to the floor! Thibodeaux milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Congo is looking to slow Ponor down with leg kicks. We've been informed that Congo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Congo motions for Ponor to come forward. Congo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A shot to the body from Congo misses and Ponor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. It looks like Roberto Congo has been cut. Congo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Ponor counters with a perfectly timed counter left hook that drops Congo to the mat, face first! Ponor goes to the neutral corner and waits for the referee to start the count. Congo is back to hise feet already though and looking to continue the bout! Exciting stuff! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Congo misses with a leg kick and Ponor counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Congo onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue. Congo is rocked! Ponor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The referee starts the count but I'm not sure it's necessary - Congo isn't going to make it! The count reaches 10 and this fight is all over! Ponor screams and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmmm spit, everywhere. Lovely.

A very excited looking Not Ponor made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
