Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mehdi Illir!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backpack thuds a left hand into Illir's body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Illir has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Backpack connects with a good right hand that stumbles Illir. Illir circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Illir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Backpack napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Backpack is looking for a sweep.
Backpack can't do much from the bottom here.
Illir taking a breather here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Illir is working to tighten his grip on Backpack's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Backpack has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Illir is really squeezing tight and eventually Backpack passes out! Illir breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Jet's coach down at Irish Collar & Elbow Academy (ICE) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jet's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

We've been hearing good reports from Khan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jet lands a high kick to the side of Khan's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Jet dives into guard, looking to finish.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boromir Khan will probably get the nod.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Khan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Jet lands with a hook. Khan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Khan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Khan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jet has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khan has managed to get both his arms back between Jet's legs - danger averted.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Gage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Gage catches Perusinac right on the button with a cross.
Perusinac keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gage.
Perusinac went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Gage turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gage manages to end up in side control.

Perusinac bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Gage lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gage throws a shot from downtown. Perusinac moves away and avoids it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gage has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Gage has hold of one of Perusinac's legs. Perusinac is fighting the takedown attempt but Gage gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Oh but Gage is tightening it up a little... Perusinac has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Perusinac reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Perusinac taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gage!

Porsche throws the kick towards the body but Haviid avoids it.
Haviid's coach down at Temple of Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haviid's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Haviid with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Oh Porsche is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Porsche doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haviid circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Porsche tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Haviid wins by KO!
