Benjamin Wolf really struggled with his weight cut for this fight. After coming in at 160.1, he had two hours to cut the additional weight. He was unable to do so and as a result, his fight with Michael Jones was cancelled.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rotiz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gurgel has time to react.

Rotiz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gurgel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Ricky Alvarez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Alvarez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Alvarez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Richards has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Alvarez wants to clinch up but Richards keeps it at a distance.
Richards gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
