The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zuki staying out of range there. Hall dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Zuki misses with a kick to the body and Hall counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. It looks like Oki Zuki has been cut. Hall throws out a token jab with nothing on it. It seemed like Zuki was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hall throws a jab when Zuki was well out of range. Zuki has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hall showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zuki .
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hall checks a leg kick. Hall swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Hall misses with an uppercut. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Hall throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hall drops Zuki with a left right combo! Hall follows him down to the ground into side control.
Hall lands some shots froms side control. Zuki is rocked! That has opened up Oki Zuki 's cut even more. Hall in side control, throwing shots but Zuki defends. Zuki is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hall connects with a decent elbow. Zuki is still in real trouble! Can Hall finish him? The cut above Oki Zuki 's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Zuki is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hall is controlling him well. Zuki seems to have recovered his senses. Hall grinds an elbow into Zuki 's temple. Oki Zuki 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Oki Zuki 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Chai tries to work over Gracie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Still in the clinch, Chai scores with a nice short uppercut. Nice body punch from Chai - that landed with a thud.
