Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roderick Gardner (ranked 5709 p4p, 25428 weight class) and Denzel Junior (ranked 281 p4p, 315 weight class). Gardner comes to the cage accompanied by Why Can't We Be Friends?. Denzel Junior is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Denzel Junior!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner has his takedown stuffed

and Junior counters by moving into the clinch.

Junior's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Junior throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gardner tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Junior is in Gardner's guard.

Gardner has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Junior off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Gardner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gardner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roderick Gardner will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roderick Gardner.
